On Saturday 18th July, 9 members of Danby Wiske WI took part in the Alzheimer’s Society Trek 26 sponsored walk. All of the group completed the 13-mile route which started at Lesbury, in Northumberland, crossing over the River Aln, along footpaths, roads and tracks through the countryside to the halfway point at Longhoughton. After a short stop, for refreshments, the group then joined the England Coastal Path to Boulmer and Alnmouth before returning to Lesbury. The team raised a fantastic £2602 for the charity, thank you to those who kindly donated. Well done to all that took part!
