About Us

Our WI was established in 1930 and has met chiefly in Lockton
Village Hall ever since. We recently added Goathland to our name as
we already have current members who live there.

A membership with our WI offers the opportunity to meet women in the local area in
person, to make new friends, to learn new skills and have fun and
also to ‘make a difference’ in your own community and nationwide.
Our WI is a modest sized, friendly and vibrant group of women of all
ages from Wilton, Pickering, Kirkbymoorside, Goathland and of
course Lockton and Levisham. Members of our WI can be involved
in the way that suits them best: joining the committee, helping
organise events or the yearly programme or simply attending and
enjoying the monthly meetings.
