About Us

Our own WI was established in 1930 and has been meeting in
Lockton Village Hall ever since. A membership with our WI offers the
opportunity to meet women in your local area in-person, to make
friends and to make a difference in your own community and even
nationwide.

Our WI is a small, friendly and vibrant group of women of all ages and
backgrounds from Pickering, Kirkbymoorside, Goathland, Grosmont
and of course Lockton and Levisham. Members of our WI can be
involved in the way that suits them: simply attending and enjoying
monthly meetings or helping to organise and run them.
Around mid-month members also meet socially for coffee in the
village tea room and additional outings are offered on an ad-hoc
basis.There are also opportunities to attend meetings and events
organised by other local WIs and by our federation.
