FUNDRAISING EVENT - MAY 2024

Northallerton W.I. held its first fundraising event in May.  Members agreed in early 2024 to hold a Colours Fashion Show in Northallerton with proceeds going towards establishing a firm financial basis for our new Institute and supporting the work of Hambleton Community Action.

The Committee members had a few sleepless nights when ticket sales stalled but like all good shows it was alright on the night!  Guests were welcomed with a glass of bubbly as they took their seats for the programme to start.  Stylish clothing from some high- end fashion labels were modelled and offered for sale at discount prices. The hall buzzed with eager shoppers who were also very generous in supporting the raffle – prizes of which there were many and thanks must go to the local businesses and Northallerton W.I. members who were incredibly kind with donations.

It is fair to say that Northallerton W.I. is proving to be an asset to the town and a monthly venue for interesting, informative and fun evenings where friendships are being forged. - Lynn Wild
