* Kick off the year with Main Street Sound, York's only Ladies Barbershop Chorus, who will entertain and get us singing along

February 18th 2025

* Crafting session with York Central member Hannah Smith. We’ll be making paper roses, so nice and easy

March 18th 2025

* Cher Casey is the Mindful Organiser, who works to help people create uncluttered, functional homes that enhance well-being.

April 15th 2025

* Joint meeting with Dringhouses WI. We’ll be going to theirs and Wendy is running a beetle drive to get us mixing

May 20th 2025

* Sue Pascoe, a trans woman, will share her journey from first telling her Mom she felt she was a girl when she was five years old to completing her transition in her fifties, with the highs and lows in between

June 17th 2025

* Hoping for better weather than 2024 for our annual picnic – will it go ahead this year? Or will it be an indoor social

July 15th 2025

* Martin Whipp, Lead Astronomer from the Lime Tree Observatory in Ripon, with Reverse Through the Universe Part 2. At the end of part 1 last year we finished at the edge of the solar system, now we move on to the edge of the visible universe.

August 19th 2025

* Richard Green and Helen Hoult tell us the story of Holgate Windmill, York’s last surviving windmill, fully restored and producing traditional stone-ground flour once more.

September 16th 2025

* Sarah, our fiendish Quiz Supremo will test your knowledge

October 21st 2025

* Chris Powell from The Cone Exchange, a community project in Harrogate which repurposes waste materials from businesses, turning trash into treasure.

November 18th 2025

* Ray Clarke from the North Yorks Moors Association will tell us about its work to safeguard the landscapes, biodiversity and cultural heritage of the Moors and surrounding areas.

December 16th 2025

* Annual  Meeting and Christmas party. Review the year, question the committee and shape the future of our group in a short business meeting. Followed by our traditional seasonal gathering.
